49ers Player Arrested On Domestic Violence Charges Post New League Rules

BALTIMORE (WJZ)—Another NFL player is facing domestic abuse charges– just days after the league enacted tough new punishments concerning those cases. It all stems for the firestorm surrounding the case of Ravens running back Ray Rice.

Mike Schuh reports the league was heavily criticized for its handling of the Rice case. So much that it enacted strict new laws on domestic abuse arrest. Now days later, it may be time to use it.

San Francisco 49ers player Ray McDonald is out on bail Monday morning– facing serious charges.

According to the San Jose Police Department, McDonald was having a birthday party at his home Saturday night when police were called.

His fiancée, who is pregnant, showed police bruising on her neck and arms.

McDonald was arrested and is now facing fallout from police and the league.
